Today, Saturday 21st January 2023, Former Hillingdon Borough Commander Detective Chief Inspector and Ashtead resident Mr Steven Kershaw proudly and humbly presented myself and my family of The Candy Store, Ashtead with a sum of £1570 which was raised by the local community to help funding for more security for our community shop, that has had many break ins in the past years.
My family and I, would like to thank everyone who made a donation. Also would like to thank my staff Katie, Indi and Kumari for their effortless help and support.
Special thanks to Will Manders, Claire Pealling, Claire and Ben Askew for their immediate response when it was needed.
We would also like to thank Kim Filbee Dunn for initiating the fund raiser via 'Gofundme'. We know how much of a trying and hard time this has been for her.
Finally we would like to thank every single one of you who have always supported our little shop.
In time and when all other needs are dealt with, we will be in a position to upgrade the security of your 'The Candy Store' with the immense help of this funding.
