There is a lot going on in this video (I'll not be winning any film awards!) but the gist is that this is our Caroline going down to meet the legend that is Darren our Warburtons delivery driver who can't get through to deliver our bread in his van, so is coming on foot. In addition to all that, Caroline is also helping a stranded motorist who had no idea how to negotiate the road closure.
We fully understand when work needs to be done to repair things, but, as a small business, when no work appears to be being done in the coned off area and half your customers can't get to you, it is hard to be patient. No one compensates us for reduced footfall and cancelled deliveries.
Nonetheless we will keep going as small businesses always do. With a giant dollop of purple resilience and a bit of humour.
