“The title is ‘Singing the songs of the world,without knowing the words yet’

The image is made from cultural fragments that illicit a similar sensation in me. I can’t quite describe the sensation, but it could be summed up as ‘animo’

It is interesting how certain elements might remind someone of a particular region, but are actually from somewhere else. Somehow all the cultures bundled together collapses their contradictions - could that be paradise?

I think it’s true that we think with our hands - that they can overcome obstacles the mind can’t and that the painting knows things I don’t yet”

En español 👇🏽Ronny Portulidis has been a dear friend of mine since the days he worked alongside Marc Fosh at Read’s — almost 20 years ago now.

His cosy restaurant Duke’s in Santa Catalina has been our friends’ and family’s go-to dining place since the day he opened — which honestly feels like a lifetime ago.

We feel honoured, privileged, grateful, and incredibly happy to be playing together at BBB this coming Saturday, 7th of March. It’s going to be delicious — and so much fun!
