"Culture enriches our lives, adds meaning, and helps us understand ourselves and others." – Lars Strannegård
As President of the Stockholm School of Economics, Lars Strannegård has integrated arts and culture into the curriculum to foster critical thinking, empathy, and creativity among students. Under his leadership, classrooms have been transformed into art installations, students participate in literature circles, and artists are invited to lecture.
The goal? To strengthen human skills and the ability to see the world from different perspectives — qualities that are more important than ever in an era shaped by AI. A new kind of business school, where tomorrow’s leaders are formed with both mind and heart.
During his keynote "Knowledge and Culture in a Digital Age" at Kulturskoledagarna 2025, Lars emphasized how these initiatives are guided by a clear educational mission and vision:
𝗙 𝗥 𝗘 𝗘
☑️ 𝗙act and science based mindset
☑️ 𝗥eflective and self-aware
☑️ 𝗘mpathetic and culturally literate
☑️ 𝗘ntrepreneurial and responsible
