Looking back at last weekend with a lot of racing going on around the world.
Russell Vanderwater kicked things off at Powerman Malaysia - a race he won last year. This time a lot of work related travel had made for a tricky build but Russell once again delivered in every aspect of racing and won his AG once again. 🔥
In Denmark I had a handful of athletes racing Ironman 70.3 Elsinore. Everyone delivered close to perfect performances relative to the race plan they had. Of course there were minor differences but overall I’m very pleased to see the numbers in training translating into actual race performance!
Special shout out to Stine Kjellev for winning her AG only a couple of weeks after riding Granfondo Stelvio! 👏
Last competitor of the week was Nikolai Jenkins - an old athlete of mine that has come back to structured training after moving from Singapore back home to the US. Here he race the olympic distance at the Colonial beach triathlon. Nikolai came 3rd overall after a stellar performance across all three disciplines! A small but important step towards his goal of getting back to full distance ironman racing later this year. 💪
As always I’m extremely thankful for the athletes that I coach and happy to see them all putting together great performances! Hard work pays off 🔥🔥
