From probe scrubbing to smart sensor cleaning 👏💧

In aquaculture systems, biofouling on sensors can lead to reduced measurement accuracy, increased maintenance time, and higher operational costs.

OxyClean is our automated cleaning solution, designed to reduce fouling at the sensor’s measurement point using controlled bursts of compressed air, oxygen, or water.

- No daily inspection required
- No manual cleaning
- No additional software
- Compatible with the OxyGuard Pacific system
- Can be delivered pre-mounted or retrofitted on most OxyGuard probes

After just three months of operation, sensors equipped with OxyClean remained clean at the tip, which is the critical measurement area, while unprotected areas on the probe showed visible fouling. This supports longer sensor lifespan and stable data quality with minimal manual effort.

Established in 2017 in Nanping, Fujian, Ze Hui operates China’s largest RAS for eel farming, aiming for an annual production of 15,000 tons across a 520,000 m² facility.

To support sustainable and efficient operations, OxyGuard has delivered a fully integrated water quality monitoring and control system, including:

- 80 Pacific Main Units
- 1550 Oxygen Probes
- 100 pH Probes
- 888 Digital IN Modules (e.g. pump signal inputs)

Improvement of our in-house production 💡

Recently we have expanded our production facilities at our headquarters with a new machine. A Mazak HCN 5000 NEO has been installed to produce, among other things, the ozone generator.

Our CEO, Paw Petersen, is in China with a Danish business delegation organized by Danish Export - Fish Tech, exploring opportunities and strengthening relationships within the Chinese aquaculture sector.

Earlier today, Paw presented "OxyGuard Group supporting Chinese Aquaculture for 25 years", sharing how OxyGuard has supported the industry with innovative solutions for over two decades and shares his thoughts on what the future brings for aquaculture in China.

Did you know OxyGuard started in a basement back in 1987❓

Our founder, Ebbe Høffner, was on a mission and determined to make oxygen measurement more accessible for the Aquaculture industry.

It all began in his basement, and his first employee was Hans-Christian Kromand, who, btw, is still very active and working with us.
With a passion for innovation, the company quickly grew. We moved to bigger premises in Birkerød and later to our current headquarters in Farum.

Today, OxyGuard is one of the world’s leading suppliers of measuring and monitoring equipment for Aquaculture. We also provide equipment for the environmental, wastewater and energy sectors.
