🥰 3 Questions to Sandrine Girardin from Champagne B. Girardin:
1 — What is your first memory of Champagne?
😊 On Sundays, for special occasions, my father would often bring out a slightly older Champagne. I could sense an almost ceremonial reverence around it — filled with value, emotion, admiration, and respect. Later on, I unconsciously brought those moments to the forefront when presenting long-aged Champagnes myself. I love their complex aromas, which place me in a state of absolute happiness.
2 — Which bottle do you open to treat yourself, even without a special occasion?
🍾 I am very receptive to the mood of a moment. Vibrato 2006 captivates me with its playful expression, balancing freshness and exoticism — when I feel I have done good work, this is the champagne I enjoy. I savor Point d’Orgue 2012 quietly, for its nobility and depth.
3 — Which personality, living or historical, would you most like to share a toast with?
🎹 I would have loved to meet Oscar Peterson — a brilliant pianist whose technique, style, and energy continue to fascinate me to this day. His music inspires me and gives me renewed strength. Today, I am fascinated by David Szauder and his AI-generated images filled with fantasy, color, and music — a poetic universe one immediately wants to dive into.
