Ionian W**e Escape - Day #4
Beautiful last day of our trip, sunny, a bit windy but definitely not hot! We were welcomed at Petrakopoulos w**ery by Vassilis Groumpos with a promise... ''I will get you drunk today!'', and he kept true to his promise!
The w**ery is set in a beautiful scenery like an old farm house with a large oak tree that would have been setup for a picnic tasting but unfortunately due to strong gasps of wind we were ''forced'' to have our tasting at the w**ery terrace! Robola and Mavrodafni... sometimes less is more and the simplicity of the well thought pairings spoke volumes! 🥂 🍷
Vassilis thought it would be a good idea to add a Mavrodafni of 2005 to the tasting just to see the evolution of the variety! We saw, we tasted, we enjoyed... a bit more than we should maybe but he insisted on finishing the bottles! See, it was not our fault! 😜 Let's not discuss the looooooooong tasting this time!

We should also thank all of our friends, old and new, for joining us in our crusade in releasing w**es that were trapped in bottles! Many were released in Zakynthos and Kefalonia this year... your efforts made a difference!
And let's not forget to thank Eirini & Vassilis from Bonus Travel that made this trip possible and our lives easier! By the way, you won't get rid of us so easily... we will need your expertise in manifesting our next borderline... possible idea! You should check your email! 🤣
