Our last tasting before back home at The Promontory and The Mascot with Mollie Maisch. What an impressive winery with tremendous quality! We tasted different vintages of The Mascot and saw how this wine is improving to become one of the best Napa Valley wines! We couldn‘t finish better our wine week 😜!

What a fun tasting today at Shed Wine with Stephan Carrier CEO and winemaker at Chateau de Fieuzal, topic was blind tasting 2014 vintage all from Pessac Leignan and two pirates (Angelus and Palmer) 😜…there is no better way to start your week! 😁💪🍷!

The Chardonnay King of Napa Valley John Kongagaard opened the cellar door exclusiv for us! It felt like getting a private audiance in Vatikan 😜…what a personality, very calm with a magnificant aura! We anjoyed every second there and i had for the first time ever THE JUDGE as a barrel sample 😍⭐️! So i am now in heaven!!!

All way from Australia to Napa Valley, Shea and Nigel Kinsman are these days the most successful couples in Napa Valley, started with almost nothing able to invest but their vision and passion for winemaking was bigger than to take the risk to finance their project. Now thank to the hard work their dream come true to make another icon wine in Napa Valley. What a great lunch we had with Nigel at Charter Oak, lot of fun!

Maybe the biggest surprise on this Napa Trip, THE VINEYARDIST! Never heard or had it before. Hilly vineyards on volcanic Diamond Mountain terrain, well maintained vines and a great winemaker, Tony Biagi 💪! Dirk and Becky should be very happy what great quality their wines shows! And Julie is just an angel, to host us and prepared a fantastic road drive up the hill for an beautiful view and very nice Sauv Blanc to enjoy! .wine.growers

What a short but intense visit at Cathiard Vineyard in St. Helena, we couldn‘t visit Napa and not see the new Winery of Smith Haut Lafitte! Three outstanding wines they make, Estate Cab, Founding Brothers and Hora! Happy to see another big Bordeaux brand making big Napa Wines!
