Almost 2,000 years of history, a pioneering approach to biodynamic viticulture, and some of the most authentic expressions of the Wachau.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Nikolaus Saahs, owner of Nikolaihof, to our Arvino Luxury Wine Shops in Lugano and Zurich.

Through a selection of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner, guests were able to explore the philosophy and identity of one of Austria's most historic wine estates, gaining first-hand insight into a legacy that continues to define the Wachau today.

Spotlight On: Vieux Château Certan

We open this new series with one of the most respected names in Pomerol. Vieux Château Certan brings together centuries of history, the savoir‑faire of the Thienpont family, and a vineyard divided into twenty‑three carefully managed plots, where Merlot and Cabernet Franc express the authentic depth of the appellation. Fermentation in oak vats at controlled temperatures ensures a measured, precise extraction that reflects a balance between tradition and technical refinement.

From the estate’s Grand Vin, known for its depth and longevity, to the more approachable La Gravette de Certan, each wine offers a clear and faithful expression of this remarkable vineyard.
