Winkler, MB – April 29, 2025 – Earlier today, a fire was reported on the roof of Quality Inn & Suites, located on Main Street in Winkler. Emergency response crews are currently on site working diligently to contain and extinguish the fire.
At this time, the cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation. Fortunately, all hotel guests, restaurant guests, staff, and pets inside the building at the time of the incident have been evacuated safely. No injuries are reported.
The safety and well-being of our guests, team members, and community are our top priorities. We are grateful for the swift response from emergency services and will continue to cooperate fully with their efforts. We also want to thank Dairy Queen for their care of our staff through this.
Operations at Quality Inn & Suites will remain suspended until authorities have completed their investigation and the building is deemed safe for reentry. Guests with existing reservations will be contacted directly with updates and support options.
