Recently the LCBO has announced that they are now allowing LCO outlets like ourselves and others across Ontario to have flexible pricing margins. What will this affect? The changes will happen on Wine up to 18% alcohol content, RTD ( coolers ) and Beer up to 7.1 percent alcohol content. Spirits will remain price and LTO ( sale ) regulated by the LCBO.
How will this affect you the customer? You will notice a change in the pricing on some of your favourite products here at the store and other locations like us. The prices will most likely vary from store to store due to it’s at the store’s discretion for pricing.
There will also be changes to the products we will eventually be able to carry! We will be able to expand some of our products to better accommodate our customers. (this will hopefully take effect mid - end of the summer season).
This may sound worrying for some knowing your product pricing will change. But don’t worry …. we are about fair pricing and access for all, not gouging. No one benefits from that nonsense, But If the new prices are not to your liking there is always the option to source your items from other small businesses or the LCBO! We would be sad to have you shop elsewhere but we would understand.
Please know this is a huge win for small businesses like ourselves in the ability to keep up, survive and serve our communities with confidence of being able to give you the best service possible.
