Another Saturday tasting has come around, and this week we're pouring samples of 's Rhubarb and Traditional Dry ciders from 3 - 6 PM.

If you're a fan of well-made traditional ciders (read: without an abundance of added sugars) then you won't want to miss it.

We've got their Buckle Up Pale Ale, a collaboration with , as well as a collaboration with called Okome - a rice lager made with homegrown BC rice.

Today's a special one, reader—we're opening four wines from for today's tasting, two Pinot Noirs (one from the Saison Vineyard), their Chardonnay, and the classic sparkling Charme de L'Île.

Unsworth may've been around for a spell, but they're consistently developing new techniques to get the best out of Vancouver Island's fruit, so if you're a fan of BC wine you should definitely pop by and taste the lineup.

Join us today between 3 and 6 PM for your chance to try a sample of Lachamte sparkling Sake!

Towing the line between traditional method sparkling wine and classic sake flavours, Lachamte features bright fresh fruity flavours (think peach) alongside the ye**ty bready notes of Champagne, with a mouthfeel and plushness of ricewine.

Today we're excited to open a couple of new ales we've brought in from in Vancouver—a Gin Barrel-Aged Table Saison (peppery, juniper-laden, and bright), and a Gewurztraminer Bière de Coupage (funky, farmhouse-y, but not overbearing).

These are beers for the connoisseur, the adventurer, or the lover of complex flavours; not your sunny day's crisp lager or winter warmer.

We've been working with the winery for a few years now, and we try to shine a spotlight on their wares whenever possible since their wines have garnered a bit of a following amongst our regulars.

It's a rare occasion that we'll do three tastings in a single week, but our neighbours at are launching a new pre-bottled Espresso Martini cocktail this week, so we'll be pouring samples in-store today from 4 - 8 PM.

There'll still be tastings in-store on Friday and Saturday at the usual time, so watch this space for more details.

Or, feel free to ask the staff when you pop in to give The Palms' Espresso Martini a try!
