The JCU is creating a showcase of unpublished J-School work!

Using the link in our bio, send us your favourite work that you (or someone else) made this year.

Please include either the video, audio, or text of your story in your submission. SUBMIT by the 17th. Any work submitted must be written this year, for class, and unpublished (if it was published somewhere operated by the School of Journalism ie; OTR or TDot, it is still eligible for nomination BUT anything for CanCulture, the Eyeopener, or written for class but published externally is not)

Our student AND faculty portion of the winter Semi-Annual General Meeting is next Thursday February 27 at 1 PM in RCC 202!

Have any issues or concerns with the journalism program? Come to SAGM we can address them.

All J-School students are welcome to attend, and we try our best to ensure it’s a safe environment.

Everything brought up at the SAGM will then be discussed with faculty and everyone will try their best to find a solution.

Want to join our team? The JCU is looking for year representatives! ✨

As a year representative, you are responsible for representing the needs and interests of students in your respective academic year for the School of Journalism.                           

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Promoting events and initiatives within your respective class
• Taking suggestions about students interests and wants

Nominations: September 15th - 22nd
Campaigning: September 23rd - 26th
Voting: September 27th - 29th
Results announced: September 30th

• Students need two nominations from individuals in their respective year to become a candidate in the election
• Students may NOT nominate themselves
• A google form link to nominate candidates will be sent via email to all journalism students
• Direct any questions or concerns to Hailey Ford ([email protected]) or Ria Sidhu ([email protected])
