The Fish Shop We produce and sell locally made food and crafts. Our main products being our Lake Superior smoked/fresh fish and our wide variety of Amethyst gifts.

The Fish Shop has been serving locals and tourists alike for the past 44 years. We deal in fish caught from Lake Superior and surrounding lakes (Lake Nipigon) and smoke our fish on premises using green alder wood. Our shop also sells a variety of ocean fish as well as other goods from businesses in the area (Thunder Oaks cheese, home made baking, preserves, farm fresh eggs, wild rice etc.) In the

past ten years we have also opened a gift shop which has a large selection of Amethyst jewelry/gifts and traditional Finnish items (Lapland hats, rag mats) crafted by our friends. Stop by our shop or visit us at Thunder Bay Country Market on Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings.

Help save Finn Rag Mats! All our mats are handmade from recycled materials but the ladies are running out of things to use. Please drop us any bags of gently used clothing/blankets/towels (especially if they have a cool print!) rips/holes/stains are fine because they all get woven tightly.
