The Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating after several counterfeit $20 dollar bills have been used at retail shops in the past week within the CBRM. These bills are not stamped with a hologram and have similar serial numbers beginning with “HXD7015”.

We are advising the public to be diligent when accepting cash for purchases.
