Before students return to school next week, Enforcement Services is asking drivers, students and parents to prepare for the increase in traffic and remember to:

🚸 Slow down in school zones
🛑 Watch for children crossing streets and walking between vehicles
🚌 Obey school bus stop signals
📵 Stay focused and drive distraction-free

Parents are also reminded that e-scooters and electric dirt bikes are not a safe or legal way for youth to travel to school. Under Alberta's Traffic Safety Act, electric dirt bikes and personal e-scooters are not permitted on public roads, sidewalks or pathways and should only be operated on private property.

A few extra seconds of caution can make a big difference. Let's work together to ensure every student arrives safely to and from school.
