Seeking the ‘railings’ they need to feel secure, kids will often continue to test boundaries until we clearly state them. Power struggles are a necessary part of the development of ‘self’ for kids, yet the outcome they need is to know they have an adult in charge. Children do not usually admit this but they don't wish to be all powerful and the possibility that they might be is frightening indeed. When raised without firm, consistent boundaries kids feel less secure. Burdened with too many decisions and too much power, they miss out on the joyful freedom every child deserves.🦋

Understanding this has made it easier for me to set boundaries (because at heart, I'm a big softy!). Hope it's helpful to you as well ❤️

Le groupe de jeux se déroulera à la salle principale du centre On y va au 1253 Pembroke st west.

La marche en poussette qui étais planifiée ce matin est belle et bien annulée. Nous serons au centre de 9h-11h. 🙂
