Hi everyone,
We’ve seen the conversation happening about our shelves lately, and we want to speak directly to it rather than let rumors fill in the gaps.
We are NOT closing, and we have not lost any licenses. What’s actually going on is much less dramatic: the LCBO has been rolling out changes as part of their “future state” modernization, and it has significantly disrupted how independent retailers like us order and receive b**r and liquor stock.
On top of that, rising costs across the board have made cash flow tighter, which has made it harder to keep up with orders for some other products too.
We know it’s been frustrating to walk in and see empty shelves, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience, especially to our staff, who’ve been doing their best to answer questions they don’t always have full answers to themselves.
We’re working to get things back to normal and really appreciate this community’s patience (and the kind words people have shared about us, it means a lot).
