We are sad to announce that our final service will be the evening of December 21st.
Our motto has always been “Affordable Luxury”; a safe space where people of all income brackets could enjoy a special evening and an elevated wine experience. Unfortunately, rising costs, thinning margins, a rather gloomy economic outlook and stretched household budgets meant that we were facing another round of large price increases, putting us out of the average guest’s budget. We would have to radically change our concept and philosophy, becoming something we never wanted to be.
We are immensely proud of the experiences we provided, and enjoyed every minute of being your hosts and being part of your celebrations.
We are also happy that we were able to operate as a non-tipping establishment, offering living wages, benefits, sick/parental leave, paid vacations, and hope that more opt for this style of service in the future.
On a personal note, no employer has ever been blessed with a better team of truly incredible people. The beating heart of Buyers + Cellars is the team, and those who have joined us can attest to that. My sincere and heartfelt thanks goes to Alli, Ani, Gabe, Bihter, as well as the “OG” team of Curtis and Chef Archer and Amanda, who were with me since Day 1, spending the first 3 years pivoting nonstop to stay afloat. Nobody could have asked for more from their team.
