Good Afternoon Customers and Friends and Family,
The count down is now on to the last few days of being able to fundraise for Relay for Life for the kids and I we will be walking on Tuesday June 2nd 2025 at OLB in Collingwood.
We have been incredibly blessed with the generosity of the community, our family and friends so far to date. Colin's team is currently in the first place position at OLB and we are hoping to help his team beat CCI in a friendly competition for overall donations. We could not have done that without the incredible support we have received so far from everyone.
This particular fundraiser is one that I try hard to help fundraise for as we have been on the receiving end of the Cancer Society helping us when I was receiving my transplant during the pandemic. Because every thing was closed down for out patient housing with Galida House during the heightened of Covid, they helped us with paying for us to be able to stay down in the city so that I could get the treatments that I needed to slow down the progression of the rare cancer I continue to battle to this day.
The relay for life events help raise much needed funds so that the Cancer Society is able to help many families in there time of need to help take the burden off of them for travel, places to stay and in some cases with the medications that they need to keep fighting there battles against this horrible disease.
This year I am not only walking for myself as a warrior against cancer, but I am walking for some dear friends that unfortunately lost their battles recently, so in honor of their lives I will walk those extra laps to remember them and their accomplishments they had made in this world.
