Filling your car could make a huge difference in the lives of local families! ⛽❤️

On Tuesday, September 15, a portion of every purchase of fuel or propane will support Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island and their initiative to build Jesse's House - a Home Away From Home for families travelling for pediatric care.

Want to get involved this Fuel Good Day? We've got three amazing options to help build Jesse's House:
1. From Sept 1-15, stop by any Mid Island Co-op, Mid Island Food Market, or Mid Island Liquor location and purchase a donation square. You choose the amount to donate!

2. On Sept 15, fill up at any Mid Island Co-op Gas Bar and we'll donate 10¢ per litre of gas and diesel or 5¢ for each pound of propane (fill only, no exchange).

3. Spread the word! Encourage your friends, family, co-workers, everyone and anyone, to purchase a square or fill up on Fuel Good Day.

That's a wrap on our Grand Opening for Wh***ey Creek! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this very special day. We've had an incredible team working on bringing back this beloved site and we are thrilled to be back in Wh***ey Creek!

A much needed place to play is coming to Nanaimo!

The Sunview Park project is introducing a new playground at 166 Sunview Rd, a neighbourhood with a large number of families, but without a safe place for kids to play.

Planned features for the playground include a large multi-age play structure, a four-seat swing set, a perimeter track for bikes, and supporting elements such as benches and picnic tables.

We're proud to support this project with additional funding through the CO-OP CRS Community Match Fund.

We caught up with the team at The Bradley Centre to see the wonderful work they're doing, and hear about new plans for the facility, including their new Adult Day Care Program.

The new program offers adults in the community a space to socialize and engage while also participating in guided activities and games. The program has already received a wealth of interest, and we're happy to support its growth.
