Ever wonder how Millarville got its name? 🤠

It all started with Malcolm Tanner Millar, one of the area’s earliest settlers. After arriving in the foothills around the late 1870s, he established the first trading post, store, and post office in the community. As the settlement grew, it became known as Millarville named in honour of the Millar family and the man who helped build the foundation of the community we know today.

A name, a legacy, and a piece of local history that lives on. ❤️

Legend has it… Joe Fisher once rode his horse straight into the Millarville General Store. 🤠

Back in the early days of Millarville, stories like these became part of the town’s history and the Fisher family helped shape so much of what this community is today. From ranching roots to the old trading post days, this store has seen over 100 years of unforgettable moments, characters, and foothills legends.

Some places just sell groceries.
Some places hold history.

And around here… the stories are just as legendary as the people who lived them.
