Today’s local highlight is local author Katherine Matiko! 📚

Katherine has written a compelling story Eden's Daughter about a woman in the 1970s who was forced to give her daughter up for adoption. She then begins the journey of searching for her, fearing that she may be in danger.

We’re so happy to have Katherine’s book and to support such a talented local author! ❤️

One hundred years. ❤️

As we reflect on an unforgettable weekend celebrating the Millarville General Store's 100th Birthday, our hearts are incredibly full.

To everyone who came to celebrate with us—thank you. Whether you travelled from far away, stopped in as a first-time customer, are a longtime neighbour, a familiar face, or simply happened to be passing by, you helped make this milestone something truly special.

To our amazing vendors who showcased their talents, our incredible musicians who filled the grounds with music and laughter, the former owners who shared stories and memories from decades gone by, and the families who have been part of the General Store's history, we are so grateful you chose to celebrate this remarkable chapter with us.

Seeing generations come together, old friends reconnect, new friendships begin, and so many people creating memories at a place that has been the heart of this community for a century is something we'll never forget.

Thank you for honouring the past, celebrating the present, and helping write the next chapter of the Millarville General Store's story.

Here's to 100 incredible years... and to many more still to come. ❤️
