There’s just something special about life in the hills. 🤎

A little glimpse of the beauty that surrounds Millarville, set to a song that captures the feeling of calling these hills home.

Here’s to the beauty, the people, and the simple moments that make this place so special.

A special thank you to Andrea Josefiak and her horses, George and Bobo, Dave Clarke, Craig McCulloch and Lisa Willis ❤️ and Charlie Ewing for this beautiful song !

Looking for an amazing person to help out in the store!

Long before smartphones and streaming, entertainment looked a little different in Millarville.

From polo and tennis to hockey, cricket and so much more, the community found plenty of ways to get together, get active and have a little fun.

It’s pretty amazing to look back and see just how much sport and community spirit have always been a part of life in Millarville.

ON Sept. 26 Miss Marple's is hosting Charlie Ewing and Lonni Robley, and it will be a night of songs grown in the foothills and sung by a southern Alberta legend.

LOCAL HIGHLIGHT ALERT

This month, we’re showing some love to Syd Giesbrecht and his amazing woodworking!

Syd’s one-of-a-kind pieces are in store now, so come grab them while they last!

And hurry… the faster they sell, the sooner we can keep Syd out of trouble. 😂

Support local. Shop local. Keep Syd busy. 😉

Today’s local highlight is local author Katherine Matiko! 📚

Katherine has written a compelling story Eden's Daughter about a woman in the 1970s who was forced to give her daughter up for adoption. She then begins the journey of searching for her, fearing that she may be in danger.

We’re so happy to have Katherine’s book and to support such a talented local author! ❤️

Her book is available at the store grab your copy while they’re here!

One hundred years. ❤️

As we reflect on an unforgettable weekend celebrating the Millarville General Store's 100th Birthday, our hearts are incredibly full.

To everyone who came to celebrate with us—thank you. Whether you travelled from far away, stopped in as a first-time customer, are a longtime neighbour, a familiar face, or simply happened to be passing by, you helped make this milestone something truly special.

To our amazing vendors who showcased their talents, our incredible musicians who filled the grounds with music and laughter, the former owners who shared stories and memories from decades gone by, and the families who have been part of the General Store's history, we are so grateful you chose to celebrate this remarkable chapter with us.

Seeing generations come together, old friends reconnect, new friendships begin, and so many people creating memories at a place that has been the heart of this community for a century is something we'll never forget.

Thank you for honouring the past, celebrating the present, and helping write the next chapter of the Millarville General Store's story.

Here's to 100 incredible years... and to many more still to come. ❤️
