To our valued customers and friends,

This isn't an easy announcement to make, but one being made after careful consideration. As of December 30, 2022 Main West Variety will be closing permanently.

The past two years have been an incredible journey for us all, and we cannot thank you enough for the support of our regular customers.

As much as we have tried to make this work, being a small business in a world with corporate giants is very difficult. With rising costs and rules and minimums that make it difficult for small businesses to compete, it's really hard to make this business work. With the cost of living continuing to rise, we have ultimately decided that this is what is best for our family.

We know the community has loved having a reliable store in the west end again to shop at, and for that we apologize.

We will be offering the remaining stock in store at discounted prices, and your support at this time to allow us to sell what we have remaining will be met with the utmost gratitude.

Lastly, we cannot thank June and Dylan enough for their support and making this store what it as. We are going to miss you all so much!

As we stroll our way into August we want to take a moment to thank everyone that has made our little store their spot to stop. Building trust and a positive reputation back in the community has been such an important endeavour for us.

As any local knows, summer time is the gravy for small businesses and we want to thank our local, pop in, last minute ingredient, milk buying, munchies and mix, lotto and smokes regulars who keep our doors open year round!

Are you done your holiday shopping? We have been working hard at loading up on local love in the store.

When we decided to drop the postal room our vision was to fill the room with local products by local artisans and small Canadian brands. We are loving how it’s coming along! Jenn from has brought in some beautiful pieces that would tuck nicely into a stocking!

You know what’s quicker than Prime? Popping by the store! Parking is always plentiful.
