Like Street food?
Then the Bowmanville Rotary Club has the ticket for you at their inaugural Street Eats Festival, being held at the Garnet B Rickard Centre on June 28 and 29. The outdoor weekend event features food trucks from across the Region, with mouth-watering fare for every taste – from Mexican to Middle Eastern, Greek to good old Canadian and everything in between, while showcasing great local music and family fun that includes face-painting, clowns, balloons and even a visit from Spiderman. And yes, Tiny Tom’s Donuts will be there too! The Street Eats Festival is a new event for the Bowmanville Rotary Club, replacing the long-running Rockin’ Ribs & Brews as Bowmanville Rotary’s signature summer fundraiser. "Ribs and Brews was a great family event that brought our community together while raising essential funds to support the work of Rotary,” says Doug Sirrs, president of the club, which is celebrating its 100th birthday this year. “We're confident that the Street Eats Festival can do that now too."
“We’re thrilled to be hosting our first-ever Street Eats Party!” says event organiser, Laurie Suikki.
“Join us for a one-of-a-kind fundraiser that helps Rotary serve others here in our community and around the world. Let’s celebrate how great our town is!” For more info, check out the club’s page: https://www.facebook.com/therotaryclubofbowmanville/
