FRIENDS & FAMILY — A Halfmoon Bay Pop-Up Dinner

Join us at Halfmoon General for a cozy evening of good food, new friends and gathering around the table.

Chef Anthony Santi and Chef Kayla Blok are coming together to host a five-course dinner inspired by the coast, the season and Italian cooking.

Anthony is a professional chef behind Santi Cooks and formerly La Bettolina, while Kayla has spent years bringing people together around food in her own creative way. Together, they’re creating something that feels distinctly Halfmoon Bay. Serious about the food, fun & casual about everything else.

Think coastal ingredients, Italian influence, warm tables and a slightly moody fall evening.

It’s date night. Parents’ night off. A family celebration. Or just an excuse to eat something great and meet some new people.

Doors at 6PM. Dinner at 6:30PM.

Guests will be seated communally at tables of six, so booking your full group together is encouraged. Smaller parties will be seated together where possible.

Cash-only beverages will be available, including a non-alcoholic option.

Due to the seasonal nature of the menu, dietary restrictions and modifications cannot be accommodated. The menu will include animal proteins, dairy, gluten and coastal ingredients.

We are over the moon to showcase the gorgeous, unique and unmistakably local work of John Clinton for the Art Crawl this weekend!

Swing by Halfmoon General, head upstairs to our glorious ocean-view space, and get lost in the work of this local legend.

John is a multi-media sculptor and painter working in bronze, reclaimed wood and oils, moving between abstract, figurative and representational work. With his studio perched right on the ocean in Halfmoon Bay, the West Coast landscape is woven into everything he creates.

A maker and storyteller at heart, John has been a member of the Sculptors Society of Canada since 2009. His work has been exhibited throughout BC, including at Whistler Contemporary Galleries and Mountain Galleries, and can be found in private collections across Canada, the US and Europe.

This marks John’s fourth year participating in the Art Crawl, and we couldn’t be happier to have his work filling our space.

Come upstairs, take in the ocean view, wander through the art and celebrate the incredible creativity we have right here on the Coast.

For us, this place has always been about being part of the community we call home. Raising a family here, getting to know our neighbours, and creating a spot where people can stop in for groceries, stay for a coffee, or simply say hello.⁠
