🔥 THIS WEEK AT CARA’S — THE MONTREAL MELTDOWN! 🔥

You definitely don’t want to miss this one!

We took our amazing Montreal smoked meat, shaved it thin and stacked it HIGH between two slices of toasted sourdough.

Choose your mustard — deli, hot or Dijon.

But here’s where the MELTDOWN happens…

🥔 OUR HOMEMADE GNOCCHI ARE FINALLY BACK! 🇮🇹

We’ve been waiting ALL SUMMER to make them!

Why the wait? We find our gnocchi are at their absolute best when they’re made with Northern Ontario Russet potatoes, and we wait for the fresh crop to arrive.

Did you know? 🥔
Russets are naturally high in starch and lower in moisture, which gives them that dry, fluffy texture that makes them perfect for crispy fries AND light, tender gnocchi.

And now that the Northern Ontario Russets are coming in… it’s gnocchi time!

We make them for you — but you better know how to cook them! 😂

⚠️ MOST IMPORTANT RULE: KEEP THEM FROZEN UNTIL COOKING! ⚠️

Do NOT thaw our gnocchi. Not on the counter. Not in the fridge. Not even “just for a little while.”

FREEZER - BOILING WATER - REMOVE WHEN MOST FLOAT. Don’t wait for them all to float

Cook them straight from frozen and, once they’re ready, gently remove them with a slotted spoon or strainer. Lightly toss them in butter or your favourite pasta sauce (like ours 😉)

They’re homemade, they’re back in the freezer, and they’re made right here at Cara’s!
