Changes to Recycling Program (Effective 2026)

Our recycling program is transitioning to a new, enhanced system as part of Ontario’s move to extended producer responsibility (EPR). This change is being led by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization that manages recycling for packaging and paper products across Canada.

Please note an important exception:
Alcohol containers, including glass bottles and aluminum cans, are not accepted in the municipal recycling program. These items are part of a separate, high-value deposit-return system operated by The Beer Store.

You can also drop off your empties at St. Ola’s Station MONDAY-WEDNESDAY & SATURDAYS

There are also charities and fundraisers that will take empties if you wish to save & donate
