Our Hanwell Scholten's is undergoing a makeover and will never look like this view from late summer 2020 again. When we first moved to NB, the Hanwell Scholten's still had DVDs for rent, and Chris and I would frequently stop in on our way home to peruse the collection and grab a video. There's a sort of comfort in that tactile memory - going and selecting a video, finding something special to watch. We used to spend hours back in Toronto at Bay Video, Suspect Video (around the corner from Honest Ed's) and Video on Queen (in The Annex, oh how I loved The Annex), looking for movie treasures. Of our Toronto haunts, only Bay Video remains open. Time doesn't pause for anyone ⏯️
