Something new is coming… but first, we’re clearing the slate.

After such a long time of quiet planning, we’ve made the decision to fully clear out the Lakeport General Store. It’s time to let go of what’s here, make space, and begin again — in a new direction.

To everyone who’s stopped by, asked, and cared: thank you. Your curiosity, memories, and kind words have meant more than you know. We love this community! ❤️

Join us for a yard sale this weekend as we clear out the store and everything in it.

Thank you, Neighbors, for bearing with us! 🙏

To say we've been inconsistent with updates & communication would be an understatement. Life has thrown us A LOT of curveballs these last few months, and we've been dealing with so much personal loss, so many changes.

In the midst of the rollercoaster of life, we also experienced the sudden loss of a dear member of our family - our beloved store 'greeter,' our loyal companion. Roxy was not just a dog but a cherished part of our life, the store, and this community. Our hearts are forever broken but we will remember her with fondness and gratitude for the joy she brought 🐾❤️

We truly appreciate how understanding & supportive our neighbors have been during this time, and have never ending love for the community members who have messaged and come by to visit & shop with us.

It's almost been a year since we first opened and we've been listening to your wonderful feedback very closely. As a result, we're excited to announce some adjustments are on the way!

✨ Calling all local makers! We're opening our doors to feature your unique creations in our store. From jewelry to art, clothing, and more, we've got space for it all (except for wax products and jams - we have 2 wonderful neighbors providing those items). If you're a passionate maker, reach out to us and let's showcase your talents together.

✨But that's not all. We're in the process of exploring a co-op model and we're opening this up for individuals interested in joining the journey. If you'd like to be a part of our evolving concept, please don't hesitate to reach out to learn more about this exciting opportunity. We will be having an evening meeting within the next few weeks to go over the details ❤️

The recent past may have been on the darker side but the future is bright, and we can't wait to share it with you.

Cameron & I have full hearts after meeting all of you at yesterday's Spring event! ✨

Thank you to everyone who came to visit, making it such a special day. It's always a joy to see familiar faces and meet new ones, we're so lucky to have such an incredible community!

We also want to take a moment to appreciate the special connection that so many of you have to the history of the store. It's amazing to think about all the memories that have been made here, and we're so honoured to be a part of the building's story.

Thank you again for coming out & spending some time in the sunshine with us. We truly have the best neighbors, and we can't wait to see you all again soon! 💕☀️

Cameron made this himself, using 150 year old pine wallboard that I salvaged from a house in Warkworth 😍

Springtime @ the General Store is happening this weekend!! ☀️🌷

Join us for an afternoon of fun, food, and music as we reintroduce ourselves to the community!

In true Spring spirit, we'll have hot dogs available straight off the grill + freshly squeezed lemonade to quench your thirst. Hang in the sunshine to the sounds of 60s & 70s good-weather hits, indulge your sweet tooth on fresh baked goods, and don't forget to take a peek inside!

We also have FREE face painting for the kids, and plenty of games & activities 🎲

Festivities begin at 11:30am & this is a family-friendly event; let's celebrate the arrival of sunshine together! ☀️🌷🎶🌭🍹🍋🌻

Hi neighbors! For those who we haven't spoken to in person, we wanted to share that we'll be operating on evening-focused hours from April 1st to 8th as Cameron & I are taking a long overdue (5 years overdue!) vacation.

When you stop by, you will meet David behind the counter, who is happy to help with anything you may need ✨

We sincerely appreciate our community and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will return to standard hours when we return, with no other interruptions in the foreseeable future.
