[Dim Sum Pop-Up Returns!]

After an always overwhelmingly positive response to our Dim Sum Pop-Ups, we’re delighted to welcome back Dumpling in a Box for another Dim Sum Pop-Up at Unsworth Vineyards on Saturday, June 6th & 7th.

Expect handcrafted dumplings, share plates, and a relaxed afternoon in the vineyard paired with Unsworth wines.

[The International Wine Challenge Results Are In!]

There are moments in the life of a young wine region that feel quietly significant.

This spring, our 2023 Saison Vineyard Pinot Noir and 2023 Cowichan Valley Chardonnay were each awarded 95 points and Gold medals at the International Wine Challenge in London — one of the wine world’s most rigorous blind tastings. We were also deeply honoured to learn that our 2023 Saison Vineyard Pinot Noir was awarded the Canadian Red Trophy, recognizing it as the top red wines in the country within this year’s competition.

While recognition is never the goal in itself, moments like these feel meaningful not only for Unsworth, but for Cowichan Valley and Vancouver Island wine as a whole. Not long ago, our region was considered an unlikely place to grow world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today, wines from Vancouver Island are finding themselves in conversation alongside some of the world’s most established wine regions.

We are especially honoured knowing these wines were evaluated blind by some of the wine world’s most experienced judges.

The 2023 Cowichan Valley Chardonnay has now sold out, though fortunately the 2023 Saison Vineyard Pinot Noir is still available both online and at the winery. Throughout the summer, we’ll be featuring the wine across a series of tasting room and restaurant experiences as part of a celebration of hospitality, great food, and wines that continue to surprise people from far beyond our shores

We're thrilled to announce that the newly renovated Restaurant at Unsworth Vineyards will officially be opening its doors summer 2026. The beloved farmhouse that has been part of our story since the beginning will remain largely as you remember it—its warmth and character intact—while thoughtfully enhanced with expanded seating, a refined interior, and an updated kitchen designed to elevate every dining experience. This is more than a renovation; it's an invitation to gather, connect, and savor the exceptional food and wine that define Unsworth. We can't wait to see you there.

[Mother’s Day Mom Market in the Tasting Room]

What better way to spend Mother’s Day than joining us this Sunday May 10th from 11am-5pm in the Unsworth Tasting Room alongside for a curated market filled with local vendors, thoughtful gifts and everything you need to celebrate the Moms (or yourself). Sip, shop and soak in the vineyard views while supporting small businesses you’re sure to fall in love with.

Here at Unsworth we are gearing up for an exciting season and are looking to add a few eager team members to the Tasting Room & Restaurant staff - Learn about wine in a friendly and fast paced environment alongside a supportive team!

Tasting Room:
- The Tasting Room Sales Associates are responsible for executing ultimate guest experience through guided purchases, intimate tasting experiences, and group tours.
A few key requirements include having experience in the industry, a passion for wine and service experience. This position is seasonal, from April-October.

[Viticulture at Unsworth]

My job is as much about viticulture as it is about steward and ecosystems that are balanced, vibrant, regenerative, and humming with life.”

Felix Egerer is Unsworth’s resident Viticulturist and can be found digging around in our vineyard soil, assessing compost or wandering around the gardens and vines snacking on veggies and covercrop plants.

Felix believes in treating farm ecosystems as living, breathing things and champions holistic approaches to leadership and agriculture. The vines themselves are only one part of the story: the soil and the microscopic life it contains are what feed everything. Without them, nothing grows.

To Felix and his team, working at Unsworth is as much about viticulture as it is about stewarding ecosystems that are balanced, vibrant, regenerative, thriving and humming with life.
