Yes, we’re already talking about Christmas. 🎁

The holidays are fast approaching, calendars are filling up quickly and that means holiday parties, dinners and gift giving. At The W**e Shop we’re here to help all Calgarians this holiday season!

If you’re looking for the perfect venue to host your holiday party we still have a few dates available. Reach out through DM or call the shop and we’ll help you plan the perfect w**e tasting to satisfy everyone in the office this holiday season. Or take a night off from holiday planning and gather a group of friends for an intimate tasting with our staff.

If you’re looking at corporate or client gifting (realtors, we’re looking at you 👀) we offer custom gift wrapping within any price point. Order ahead so our elves can ensure the smoothest transaction.

And if you’re fortunate to be hosting or attending holiday parties this year we want to join you at the table! Let us help you choose w**es to pair with your holiday spread or if you’re a guest, pick up bottle to share with your host.

For all holiday inquiries send us a message, email or give us a call.

The newest addition to The W**e Shop is the Landcraft Loureiro from the Vinho Verde region in Portugal. The vineyards are just 5 kilometres from the ocean and this atlantic influence provides the w**e with a remarkably saline note. This would be great with some cheese, olives and grilled bread!

$31.95 Available at The W**e Shop or visit our online store.

This weekend we’ll be opening up the Rockbare McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon and offering it at a very special price.

This is a near perfect expression of Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of cassis and black fruits, spicy hints of jalapeño and firm, silky tannins.

$24.95 (regular $28.95) Available at The W**e Shop Calgary and online.

We have just few seats left for our B**r, Cheese & W**e Slap Down with our pals from peasant cheese and Born Brewing Co..

Back by popular demand, we welcome guest hosts Adam from Peasant Cheese & Erin from Born Brewing. Along with legend Tim, these three will take turns selecting 1 of 6 selections (6 cheese, 6 beers, 6 w**es) and the others have to pair one of their selections to see who has the best chops. Fun, interactive, tasty. Don’t miss it!

Tickets are $80. Available by calling the shop or visit our website.

Want to bring something unique to the dinner table this Thanksgiving? The Antech Reserve Extra Brut is a sparkling w**e from the Limoux region in Languedoc made from Mauzac. The grapes are fermented in the Ch*****ne method providing the w**e with flinty, biscuity notes set against granny smith apple white florals. And fun fact, long before Dom Perignon was tasting the stars, monks in Limoux were making sparkling w**es, predating Ch*****ne by 50 years!

$33.95 Available in store or order online and have it delivered before Thanksgiving.

We have a very special announcement 📣 The W**e Shop was able to get their hands on the full lineup of wh**ky from Springbank Distillery including their limited release of Longrow, Kilkerran and Hazelburn. These unicorn bottles usually fly off the shelf but this year we wanted to give everyone a chance to purchase. We’re inviting you to enter for the rare opportunity to purchase one of these bottles.

You can enter your name in the draw by doing one of the following:

🥃 Comment on this post
🥃 Subscribe to our newsletter and reply to our Springbank Wh**ky email

One entry per person (like a lottery system). The lucky winners will be contacted in October 9 with an offer to purchase these special bottles from Springbank, the only Scottish distillery to complete 100% of the production process on site, with human involvement at each and every stage.
