Clear CCTV footage of the traffic cone theft.

04/06/2026

Before the car arrived, we had 3 cones.
After it left, only 1 was left.

04/06/2026

Clearly evidence of theft.
A red car came and took two traffic cones.
I witnessed this, but the car left quickly.
The CCTV did not capture a clear image of the person.

I am sharing this online to raise awareness.
This behavior is not acceptable, and it needs to stop.

We are extremely upset and angry.
We originally had 4 traffic cones.
A few weeks ago, 1 was stolen.
Yesterday, we still had 3.
Tonight around 7:00 PM, a red car came and stole 2 more.
Now we only have 1 cone left.
This is theft. This is unacceptable.
We have clear CCTV footage and will be posting it.
If the cones are not returned, we will take further action.
Stop stealing from small businesses.

After 10 years of hard work, losing this gas business feels like losing a child I have raised for 10 years.

The Difficult Truth Behind a Small Gas Station

I am a 67-year-old new immigrant with limited English. For the past 10 years, I have worked very hard every day to operate this small gas station. This business represents 10 years of my life and hard work.

A few years ago, the profit was reduced to only 4 cents per litre, which is extremely low and almost impossible to sustain a business. Even under these difficult conditions, I continued working hard just to keep the station running.

Recently, the wholesaler asked me to sign a new agreement containing unfair and unequal terms. At the same time, the outstanding balance was raised significantly, which appears to be used as justification for changing the agreement.

This situation has caused me tremendous stress and many sleepless nights. For a small family business like mine, the pressure has been overwhelming.

After operating the fuel business for 10 years, losing it now feels like losing a child I have raised for 10 years. The store will still remain open, but losing the gas business is heartbreaking for me.

I am not trying to fight anyone. I only hope people can understand how difficult it is for small businesses to survive under these conditions.

This is simply my personal experience and how this situation has affected my small business.

Our store is still open and will continue to serve the community as usual, but after 10 years we have lost our fuel service.

For me, this part of the business was built with many years of hard work, dedication, and care. Losing it feels like losing a child I have raised for 10 years. The sadness in my heart is very difficult to describe.

Even though this is very painful, we will continue to do our best to keep our store running and serve our customers.

Thank you to all the customers and friends who have supported us over the past 10 years. Your kindness and support mean more to us than words can say.

A Very Difficult Decision

After many years of serving our community, we regret to announce that our gas station has stopped selling fuel.

Several years ago, the fuel margin for our station was reduced to about 4 cents per litre. With operating costs continuing to rise, this level of margin is simply not enough to support the basic operation of a gas station. After deducting credit card fees, electricity, maintenance, and other operating expenses, almost every litre of fuel sold results in a loss.

For many years, even with little or no profit, we continued to provide fuel service because we wanted to keep serving our loyal customers and the local community. We truly did everything we could to keep the fuel service running.

However, recently the fuel supplier introduced new agreement terms that have placed even greater pressure on small independent businesses like ours. Under these conditions, continuing fuel sales would only lead to even greater losses in the future.

During this period, we have been under tremendous stress and worry about the future of our business, which has even affected our sleep.

It is not that we do not want to continue operating, but under these conditions, small businesses simply cannot survive.

Therefore, we have been forced to stop selling fuel.

Our convenience store will remain open, and we will continue to serve our community.

Small businesses are not disappearing because of the market, but because the business environment has become increasingly unfair and difficult to sustain.

We sincerely thank our customers, friends, and neighbours for your support over the years. Your support means everything to our small family business.

As a 67-year-old new immigrant, my English level is very low. At our first meeting for cooperation, I was asked to sign an unfair agreement. This feels like a trap to me.
