At Casa Nova Fine Beverages, Nova Scotia finds its way into every bottle.

Karen and Brendan Enright opened the w**ery in Bear River in 2017. The name Casa Nova means “our home, Nova Scotia,” and that sense of place runs through everything they create.

Using fruit grown here in the province, Casa Nova produces w**es, fruit w**es, cellos and c***rs that range from traditional favourites to distinctly local flavours such as wild blueberry, rhubarb and Crabby Granny apple c***r.

A visit offers the chance to wander among the vines, learn how the beverages are made and discover a new favourite during a tasting. The w**ery and store remain open daily until the end of October, with visits available by appointment or “come by chance” during the off-season.

This week, we’re celebrating the local businesses that bring flavour, personality and heart to Digby County.

The Digby Farmers Market has cancelled for tomorrow due to the expected poor weather but our w**ery store will be open from 11-5!

Usually we wait to see what the weather will actually do - but we didn't want to take chances with thunderstorms in the forecast. Please share this post and get the message out that we will sadly not be set up on Sunday, August 23.
