Good evening Nan & Paps followers!!
In 2020 I opened this brand as a convenience store and that is the brand you initially followed and we thank you. As an entrepreneur, it is painful to say that your baby that you so dearly love and groomed came with tough decisions. But after two years of working twelve hour days, seven days a week I had to make a decision to shut the door to this brand as a convenience store in April of 2022. As a new brand, I wasnt at the point in the business to hire staff so it was me and only me. But I literally saw myself not being able to see my son reach the age of ten if I kept that up working such long hours everyday. Overworking and neglecting myself was making me sick and running my body down. I’ve closed the door to the convenience store brand for now, but guess what? I tried!!! Been there and done that!
But I didnt want my brand to end there, in the last year I prayed about how I could reinvent this brand and God showed me!! In the past few weeks I’ve been turning this brand iinto a Bahamian gift store that I am strategically adding Bahamian products and craft to on a weekly basis. We will sell Bahamian flip flops, tumblers, key chains, beach towels, swimsuits and pretty much gifts that tourists purchase when they come here. So if you’re in the tourism industry and your guest need somewhere to shop, send them on over to Nan & Paps Gift Store. Many of you may remember It is a business I am grooming for my son to take over when he reaches 18 years old, which is named after my parents who the kids lovingly call ‘nan and papa’.
