Lover of Leisure Ken Done: “Whenever the opportunity arises, I love to be under the water. It’s a constant source of inspiration and I’ve been able to dive on many reefs around the world. Lots of paintings that I’ve done have come from diving and snorkeling trips. Sometimes I go for a dive, come up, and then draw straight away what was left in my head.”

The Pleasure of Leisure book on display at home with co-founder — featured by .anthology

Greenery spills in from the surrounding rice fields, and the line of Bali’s volcanoes is visible from the upstairs balcony on a clear day. ‘We keep one curtain open, so every morning we wake up to the sun rising behind the palm trees,’ says Neelen. Even the bathrooms are bathed in natural light — one of the couple’s favourite details is the skylight above the upstairs shower, which offers views of kites flying overhead or the evening sky.
