Red volcanic soil. A field blend. A nod to Rioja.

Margan’s 2024 Timbervines Tempranillo Graciano Shiraz grows on the Fordwich Sill, where old volcanic ground gives the vines something to push against. The Spanish varieties lead, with Shiraz rounding things out. It’s a more robust red than you’d usually find in this part of the Hunter, but it stays elegant and aromatic.

We’re now stocking Winmark w**es at SIP Wollombi Village, and we’re kicking things off with two beautiful Chardonnays.

2023 Single Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay
Inviting and generous, with aromas of roasted nuts, melon and fig. Layers of white stone fruit and citrus follow, wrapped in subtle French oak and a velvety texture from extended lees contact. Elegant, balanced, and long on the finish.

Rusty’s Run 2024 Chardonnay
A tribute to the estate’s much-loved dog Rusty. Bright, easy-drinking and fermented in stainless steel to let the fruit shine - think green apple and ripe pear, fresh and cleansing on the close. Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years.
