🎯 Oz Lotto is sitting at $50 million tonight!
Tonight’s Oz Lotto Division 1 jackpot is an estimated $50 million. It’s the kind of number that gets a few conversations going at the counter, and we’ve been hearing plenty of “what would you do with it” chat.

There are a few ways to play. You can grab a Slikpik, mark your own favourite numbers, try a System entry, or buy a share in one of our in-store syndicates if you’d rather play as part of a group. Our team is always happy to walk you through the options.

🎄 Christmas baking, garden daydreams and a bit of holiday crafting... the December 2026 issue of Better Homes and Gardens has the festive season pretty well covered.

Let’s start with the food, because to be honest that’s where my eyes went first. There’s a whole collection of easy festive slice recipes, including a trifle slice that looks like it belongs front and centre on the Christmas table. And if pavlova is non-negotiable at your place, there’s one topped with choccy Christmas crack. I mean, why not.

For the gardeners, there’s a lovely feature on heritage gardens, with Aussie cottage style, heirloom seeds to grow and some nostalgic blooms making a comeback. Charlie also shares his top pet-friendly plants, handy if you’ve got a four-legged helper digging around out the back.

Then there’s a section full of homemade gift ideas and holiday craft for the kids, plus how to quilt your own Christmas tree skirt. And if you’re thinking about a summer getaway, they’ve rounded up 7 of the best local motels for a retro road trip.

Pop in and grab your copy, it’s a nice one to have on the coffee table over the break.

So what’s the one dish that has to be on your Christmas table? Pavlova, trifle, or something else?

🎟️ Have you heard? There’s a Saturday Lotto Superdraw coming up next weekend.

On Saturday 31 October, the Division 1 prize pool goes up to a shared $20 million. The rest of the game doesn’t change. It’s still six winning numbers and two supplementary numbers drawn from 1 to 45.

That gives you a week to work out how you’d like to play. Some people go with a Slikpik every time, and some have numbers they’ve been marking for years. If you’d like a bigger entry without organising a group yourself, we’ve got in-store syndicates ready to go. Just grab a share at the counter.

If you’re not sure what suits you, have a chat to our team and we’ll go through the options with you.

Are you a Slikpik person, or do you have your own set of numbers?

📖 Seventy years of marriage, a guinea pig with a paintbrush, and a few stories that’ll have you putting your cuppa down. The 26 October 2026 issue of that’s life! is in.

Let’s start with the feel-good stuff. There’s a platinum couple who’ve been together 70 years and are still completely smitten with each other. Then there’s Pig-casso, the guinea pig who paints. Honestly, we didn’t know we needed that story until we saw it.

There are some incredible survival stories too. One reader shares how her hero dad saved her life after an accident with a drill, and another woman tells how something as ordinary as cutting a melon turned into a frightening accident she was lucky to come through. There’s also a lovely story from a reader who felt her nan’s spirit give her a hug.

The issue also shares Jade’s story, a heartbreaking account of betrayal during her pregnancy. It’s a tough read, but an important one.

Pop in and grab your copy next time you’re passing.

🎟️ Oz Lotto is sitting at $40 million for Tuesday 20 October.

Jackpots this size get the whole shop chatting, and it’s usually when someone asks us “how do the in-store syndicates work again?” So here’s the short version.

An in-store syndicate is a ready-made share in a bigger group entry. We’ve already set it up, so you just choose a share that suits your budget. You’re part of a larger entry without having to round up a group or sort anything out yourself.

If you’d rather keep it simple, a Slikpik or marking your own numbers is always an option too, and our team is happy to walk you through any of them.

🎟️ Quick question from behind the counter... do you have "your" numbers?

Ask any of us here and you'll get a different answer. Some go with birthdays, some swear by an old footy jersey number, and someone always picks whatever feels right on the day.

Oz Lotto is drawn tonight, Tuesday 13 October, with a $30 million Division 1 jackpot on offer. If you want to play your favourites, choose seven numbers from 1 to 47, mark them on an entry form and bring it up to the counter. Forms are in-store, and we're always happy to help if it's your first time filling one out.

So, go on, which seven numbers would you pick? 👇

👥 Ever thought about playing Powerball as part of a group?
Powerball has a $60 million jackpot this Thursday 8 October, and big jackpot weeks are usually when we get the most questions about in-store syndicates.

An in-store syndicate is a ready-made group entry that we put together here in the store. It's one larger entry split into shares, so instead of buying the whole thing, you buy a share of it. If the entry picks up a prize, it's divided between everyone in the syndicate based on how many shares they hold.

The nice thing is there's nothing for you to organise. No chasing friends for money or keeping track of who's paid, it's all set up and ready to go. Just come in, have a look at the in-store syndicates we've got available, and choose a share size that suits your budget. Our team is always happy to explain how each one works
Would you rather play on your own, or as part of an in-store syndicate?
