H O L L Y W O O D C A L L I N G?

Last year, Warrnambool and its surrounds were the filming locations for the AppleTV limited series called Last Seen, adapted from the Ryan David Jahn novel "The Dispatcher."

It stars Australian actors patrickbrammall and Brendan Cowell, along with our very own Simon! Look at him go!

CLOSED TUESDAY AND EARLY WEDNESDAY

Oops, we forgot to make a little post about not opening until Wed afternoon. Sorry! We are having a little break in Cairns, enjoying the 28C weather and having an absolute blast. We arrive in Melbourne late Wed morning, and then picking up some stock so we'll be a tad late to open on Wednesday.

Anyhoo, enjoy some holiday snaps!

F U N N I G HT OUT!

It's on again, Open Mic Comedy hits Grape & Barley on Thursday, 24th September (tomorrow), and with the public holiday on Friday, it's a perfect way to start your 3 day weekend.

With plenty of drinks options available and heaps of laughs on the night from a motley crew of local talent, it's a great excuse to start your long weekend right this Thursday.

Last week we had the privilege of welcoming author Thomas Keneally to our little store. Thomas has a long list of works to his name, but most notably is Schindler's Ark, which Steven Spielberg later adapted in the beautiful yet harrowing movie, Schindler's List.

Thomas and his family were visiting Warrnambool to meet Eastern Maar, and a certain local legend by the name of John Sherwood, to learn more about the area's significant cultural heritage.

We are thrilled that someone who's work is so consequential, has chosen to have a drink and nibble with us. Our little place that we were stripping out and painting 4 years ago, wondering if anyone would ever think it was worth coming through our doors!

It was a pleasure to meet Tom, and have a chat with him and his family. And it truly made our week 😊

Warrnambool is bursting with an amazing creative talent. The Warrnambool Coaster Art Show is on at The F Project and Colleen Campbell made this beautiful coaster of our shop for the show. You have until Sunday 13th of September to pop in to see the exhibit, and perhaps treat yourself to some pocketsized art.

OPENING A BIT LATER!

We will open a little later today at 1.30pm(ish). Lou and Delaney will hold down the fort while Simon is off competing in fitness stuff at the MastersHQ finals in Williamstown.

The Warrnambool weather looks to be okay for an afternoon of a beverage or 3. See you after 1.30pm.
