Nestled in the heart of Tuscany, Bolgheri is a region with a rich history that dates back to the ancient Etruscans, whose influence can still be felt in the land today. At the helm of Valle dell’Acate, Gaetana Jacono continues a six-generation legacy of winemaking in Sicily. Since joining the family estate in 1996, Gaetana has elevated the winery to international acclaim, specializing in native Sicilian varietals like Frappato and Nero d’Avola. ​
Her commitment to quality is evident in the estate’s Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, Sicily’s only DOCG wine, and the acclaimed Frappato di Vittoria DOC. Under her leadership, Valle dell’Acate has embraced organic farming practices and sustainable viticulture, earning ICEA certification in 2018. ​
