🚨 I NEED YOUR HELP 🚨
For 12 years, the previous Liberal Government refused to deliver the critical upgrades for our local community.

Recently, local residents have told me that it is time that we begin the work to renew The Entrance Boardwalk.

We know how important it is to the community and local businesses who rely on the tourism the boardwalk generates.

I need your help to secure funding for its redesign in the upcoming NSW Budget. With your support we can make this happen.

✍️ Sign my petition here: www.davidmehan.com.au/petition.php

Together, lets deliver the upgrade The Entrance needs and our community deserves.

Tuggerah Lakes including Budgewoi Lake, Lake Munmorah and Tuggerah Lake flooding
Evacuate now
Emergency Warning

The NSW SES is directing people in the following area(s) to EVACUATE NOW due to hazardous major flooding:

- Tuggerah Lake, Budgewoi Lake and Lake Munmorah

You must evacuate now because evacuation routes may be cut.

You should evacuate to stay with family, friends, or alternate accommodation in areas unaffected by flooding. If you are unable to find accommodation, Evacuation centres have been set up at:

- Diggers The Entrance, 315 The Entrance Rd, Long Jetty NSW 2261

If you remain in the area, you may become trapped without power, water, and other essential services. It may be too dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you, and buildings may not be able to withstand the impact of flood water.

What are we expecting?

The Bureau of Meteorology advises Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty is currently at 1.31 metres and rising slowly, above the moderate flood level (1.30 m).

The Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty may reach near the major flood level (1.60 metres) overnight Friday into Saturday.

Based on predictions from the Bureau of Meteorology, the following areas may be impacted by dangerous floodwaters:

- Low-lying areas adjacent to and around Tuggerah Lake, Budgewoi Lake and Lake Munmorah
- Likely road inundations and transport disruptions

This event may change quickly. NSW SES will monitor the situation and update warnings if the situation changes.

View the full warning: https://hazardwatch.gov.au/a/4zPXWX

Download the Hazards Near Me App and set up ‘Watch Zones’ to receive warnings in real time. https://www.nsw.gov.au/emergency/hazards-near-me-app

Our Story....

In 2014 we established our small family run business, The Entrance Newsagency, located in the main street of a small seaside town called The Entrance on the Central Coast, NSW. Over the years, we have created a rapport with locals and tourists that visit by providing excellent customer service, which has built our outstanding reputation. We are known as ‘not just a regular newsagency’ as we strive to provide an abundance of different stock. Thus in 2018, we outsourced Australian designer handbags, luggage and wallets to sell within our store at competitive and affordable pricing. We decided in 2020 to expand our reach to customers by starting our online business, By The Sea Handbags, Luggage and Gifts. This venture is to provide everyone with the ability to find great quality items and fantastic gift ideas for affordable prices.

We look forward to interacting with you, whether that be in-store at The Entrance or through your online purchase. From our family to you, Thank You for supporting a small family business by shopping local.
