🍷 2023 Trentham Estate Reserve Shiraz 🍷

We are thrilled to announce the 2023 Trentham Estate Reserve Shiraz has been awarded Best In Show at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards last week.

This Heathcote Shiraz is part of Trentham’s carefully selected Reserve range that aims to epitomise the best these regions have to offer.

Sourced from a single vineyard in the middle of the renowned Heathcote region; a region famous for producing premium Shiraz. The vineyard’s Cambrian soil allows the vines to consistently produce ripe, full flavoured fruit rich in berry and spice flavours with dark, deep red colour.

The wine is rich and balanced showing lifted fruit aromas of plum, dark cherry and chocolate. A long, persistent palate well balanced with fruit sweetness and fine mocha oak.

🍷 2024 Agricola Release! 🍷

The Powell family have been making award winning wines in the Barossa for decades. Now son Callum has released his own Barossa label. These wines are totally different to your usual big, bold reds of the Barrosa – lower alcohol, lo-fi, pure and elegant.

This release sees 3 wines in the range – Ebenezer, Flaxman Valley and K’ Sands. 2024 was a considerably dry growing season, though a mild harvest led to small crops of intensely flavoured, well ripened fruit. The wines are built well for the cellar, but with a decant will provide enjoyable drinking in their youth.

The wines have experienced a 14 to 15-month élevage largely in seasoned oak and 25% of this year’s Flaxman Valley Shiraz has been matured in a Nomblot concrete egg to maintain the purity and finesse that these high country vines have to offer.

🍷 2023 Cullen Wines Diana Madeline 🍷

Cullen Wines is one of the five founding wineries of the now famous Margaret River district of Western Australia and in 2021 celebrated 50 years of making world class wines.

In 2005, the iconic Diana Madeline was elevated to the top Langton’s classification category of ‘Exceptional’ – reserved for just 11 Australian wines. In 2011, the Diana Madeline 2009 received awards for Jeremy Oliver’s Wine of the Year, Nick Stock’s Best Cabernet Merlot blend and Ray Jordan’s Best Cabernet Merlot. In 2014, The Diana Madeline 2012 received James Halliday’s award for Best Cabernet Blend, James Halliday Wine Companion 2015.

Head winemaker Vanya Cullen was most recently awarded Winemaker of the Year at the 2020 Halliday Wine Companion Awards. The quality of these wines are continually on the rise and prove to be some of the very best in the world.

The final blend comprises 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot with the balance being small amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot.

Profound wine of vigorous depth and harmonious concentration. Fine grained tannins that wrap around the palate with a juicy and unctuous structure of plums rich chocolate, cassis, and cherries unfolding glances of cedar and sandalwood sitting with grace and silk length at the back palate. A great example of finesse.

Dan Standish the owner and winemaker behind Standish Wine Co has proven himself to be one of the most outstanding Barossa Valley producers of Shiraz.

A sixth-generation Barossan, Dan started the Standish Wine Co in 1999. Before then he learnt his trade at Barossa's iconic Torbreck winery. Dan's quest is to showcase some of Barossa's finest single vineyard Shiraz.

With such attention to detail Dan has a strict process for fruit selection with up to 80% of the original blend discarded and sold off in bulk. Only the highest quality fruit parcels will be left for the final blend of each wine.

🍷 2024 Chatto Pinot Noir Release! 🍷

With 25+ years of winemaking experience, Jim Chatto is also a senior wine show judge with over 20 years of experience across both regional, capital city shows and was the Chairman of Judges for the National Wine Show of Australia 2014-2016.

In 1998 Jim moved to Tasmania and fell in love with Tasmanian Pinot Noir, and a girl called Daisy. In 2000 Jim and Daisy left Tasmania for the Hunter Valley, but began the Chatto label to continue the love affair with Tasmanian Pinot Noir.

They then spent the next six years searching for the perfect vineyard site. Isle vineyard is located in the Huon Valley. Planting began in 2007 and their first vintage was 2012.

They finally returned to live full time at Isle Vineyard in January, 2017. This was the first year their wine was made on site. (Previously they had shipped the fruit up to the Hunter Valley where the winemaking occurred, most recently at Mount Pleasant.)

This year marks the release of the following Chatto Pinot Noirs – Bird, Seven Inch, Killara Farm, Franklinii and Lutruwita.

Giant Steps was founded in 1997 by wine industry pioneer Phil Sexton who arrived in the Yarra Valley to find the ideal site to produce Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Turns out, there was more than one.
