🍻BREWERY FEATURE: Squinters Brewing Co
WESTERN SYDNEY ROOTS. INDEPENDENT SPIRIT. SERIOUSLY GOOD B**R!
This week we’re shining the spotlight on Squinters Brewing Co., an independent craft brewery proudly flying the flag for Western Sydney, right in the heart of Penrith.
Squinters opened its brewery doors in 2022, but the story started well before that. The crew originally ran a mobile canning business, travelling around NSW packaging b**rs for other craft breweries. Along the way, they gained invaluable experience, built relationships throughout the industry and eventually decided it was time to brew their own!
Even the name has a fantastic local connection. A Squinter is someone from Western Sydney who cops the sun in their eyes driving east to work in the morning, then gets it all over again heading west in the afternoon. It doesn’t get much more Western Sydney than that!
What we love about Squinters is their approach to brewing. From easy-drinking la**rs and pale ales to juicy hazies, hop-driven IPAs and adventurous limited releases, they’re not afraid to explore different styles while keeping their independent roots firmly in place.
Their Penrith brewery has also become a genuine community hub, bringing together great b**r, food, live music and plenty of local character.
At B**r Bunker, we’re always keen to support independent breweries doing great things in our own backyard, and Squinters is certainly one worth discovering!
