To our wonderful Goonawarra General Store community,
After 28 incredible years, the time has come for us to say goodbye.
This is one of the hardest messages I’ve ever had to write because the store has been so much more than a business to our family, it has been a huge part of our lives. For nearly three decades, we have had the privilege of serving this community, watching families grow, seeing children become adults, and sharing countless conversations, smiles, and memories with many of you.
There have been many early mornings, long days, and plenty of hard work, but every moment has been worthwhile because of the people who have walked through our doors. Many of you became more than customers, you became friends and family.
To everyone who chose to support us, thank you. You gave us the opportunity to do what we love, and your loyalty has meant the world to us.
As this chapter ends, our final day at the store will be this Friday, July 31st. We are pleased to announce the business is passing to another family. They value this community and are ready to take on the store. We hope you will make them feel as welcome as you made us feel.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. It has been an honour to serve you, and we will miss seeing your familiar faces. We wish you all good health and happiness for the future.
