💔 PLEASE HELP WAYNE — A LITTLE KINDNESS CAN GO A LONG WAY 💔
On Friday afternoon, one of our customers, Wayne , saw an 18-year-old young man being attacked by two 16-year-olds.
Wayne did what many people would hope someone would do in that situation — he stepped in to try to protect a young person who was being badly assaulted.
Sadly, Wayne then became the target.
He was set upon by the two young men and another person. He was badly beaten and left battered and bruised. His wallet was stolen, along with a week's wages that he had worked hard for.
We contacted the police immediately and provided them with our CCTV footage. Police have arrested those involved, and we understand the matter is now in their hands.
But while the legal process takes its course, Wayne is left dealing with the physical injuries, the emotional impact and the financial loss. At the moment, he is unable to work while his body heals.
Wayne didn't ask for anything. He didn't have to step in. He simply saw someone being hurt and chose to help.
Now we would like our local community to show Wayne that kindness isn't forgotten.
If anyone would like to contribute a small amount to help him get through the next few weeks, it would mean so much. Even $5 or $10 can make a difference when someone suddenly finds themselves without their wages and unable to work.
