IN-STORE TASTING - Friday 20th June...

Join us from 4pm, when Ryan from Deep Elite Brewing will be pouring a selection of this young, up-and-coming crafty's beers! A group of retired submariners rose from the depths with a shared dream to take their home brewing to the next level, and they've come a long way in the past five years.

Call in, say hello to Ryan, and taste the crackin' brews these land-lubbers are diving into these days... "Xtra Sticky Boy" for the win!

FRIDAY 30th MAY...

Be sure to call in tomorrow afternoon, from 3pm, for a taste of locally produced, handcrafted spirits from the Bickley Valley based HHH Spirits... We've added two of their gins and a vodka to our range, products created on a copper still that was designed and built by HHH's head distiller Hilton Izzett. The fact that his stills are being used by 80-or-so other distilleries around Australia is testament to his knowledge, insight and experience; attributes that are contributing to
HHH's "bloody good booze"... Don't miss this opportunity to taste these exceptional spirits!

One of the highlights will be the brand-spanking Seasonal collaboration with Evil Mega Corp - a Banana Puddling Wheat IIPA!! Yes, you need to taste this beer, which has been dubbed "Dare To Be Stupid".

JUST ARRIVED!!

I'd slept on this one, but then the 2025 Australian International Beer Awards happened last week... The impressive consistency of King Road's brews has been repeatedly showcased at what is one of the world's largest beer competitions - held in Melbourne every May. But then, BAM!, two of the brewery's recent limited-releases each nabbed Champion beer trophies at the event; confirming what we already know about these guys!

Introducing King Road's new "Short Stay" series, and American Strong Pale Ale and NZ Cryo took out the "Best International-Style Pale Ale" and "Best International Lager" trophies respectively. Sadly, the former has sold through, but I've managed to secure a few cubes of the latter; and I'm very much looking forward to tasting an AIBA Trophy Winner - from one of WA's best.

Just a quick message about the in-store wine tasting we have coming up this afternoon, as it’s a bit of a special one. Gareth Hudson from Honest Wines will be on-deck from 4pm, offering samples of the vinos that made him a finalist in the 2024 WA Good Food Guide Wine Awards... From Chenin Blanc to Grenache to a superb Syrah, these are seriously good expressions of select WA vineyards - and are definitely not to be missed!

NEW IN-STORE!

Two brand-spanking limited-release beers have descended from the (Blue) Mountain institution that is Mountain Culture Beer Co, and they're now in our fridges! It's always difficult for me to let a solid West Coast IPA go by, and that's what "Flow State" purports to be (it will be sampled very soon!)... Meanwhile, "Let It Rain" was brewed for Easter but promises plenty - an Oat Cream IPA infused with a dose of liquid white chocolate! Why the hell not...

Our first dabble with the Mountain Culture beers, so please get onboard if you're a fan. Cheers folks!

Need a reason to celebrate? Here's two...

Rocky Ridge Brewing Co are celebrating their Eighth Birthday with a beer befitting the occasion. Head brewer Ross Terlick has taken a mountain of cutting-edge hop products - Cryopop, Dynaboost, Amplifire, Lupomaxx, Quantum Flowable Brite(!) etc - and created a Hazy IIPA (8% abv) that you won't forget in a hurry! Expect passionfruit, pineapple, melon, gooseberry and spice characters, for starters... in 500ml CANS.

Also celebrating this year is Artisan Brewing - it's been TEN years of Belgian-style brewing alchemy for these legends. They've decided to celebrate right across 2025, with a plan for TEN beers all brewed to 10% abv! Release No. 3 sees Artisan teaming up with Rocky Ridge for an Imperial Table Beer, which has now been followed by an Imperial Pilsner... and they're an absolute treat to drink.

Cheers to both these premier WA Crafty's; long may you rule!
