To kick off our Plateful Perth Sommelier Series, we have Justin Biskup in store presenting a selection of wines from the US of A.

Justin has over a decade of experience in wine and hospitality, working with some of Australia’s leading restaurants and hotels including Vue de monde, Rockpool, Attica, and Jackalope. He is the founder of CARPE VINO, an independent fine wine importing and distribution business, and is currently completing a Bachelor of Wine Business through Charles Sturt University. His work spans wine curation, education, importer collaboration, and private client services.

Fun facts: He will be part of the team representing Australia at the World Tasting Championship in France this October and has run marathons on four continents.

A family-run winery dating back to 1789, sets the standard for top-tier German wine 🇩🇪

Their Weissburgunder & Chardonnay impresses, but it’s their Riesling that really draws acclaim.

Jancis Robinson MW describes it as her chosen example to show how great German riesling can be, and Joel B Payne, Vinous, hails Keller as “an estate that essentially has no peer in Germany.”
