B**rfarm’s classic Asam Boi (4.5% abv) returns in highly limited release!

This salted plum Gose was one of the first WA Sours to find a cult following, before being retired some years ago. Returning into near 30 degree weather couldn’t be more perfect!

Over weekend Nelio & Guy hit the legendary Big Don’s Smoked Meat with our buddies Jarrod of graphic design agency zendoke plus 6PR Perth and Top Up W**es Jamie Burnett.

The brisket, smoked chicken, birra tacos, bespoke sausages and accompaniments were all delicious - love that cornbread!

Naturally, we didn’t miss the opportunity to pair the meat treats with a sublime Beyerskloof Faith Cape blend, Cantillon 50N 4E Cognac barrel aged Gueuze, Epic Big Badder Baptista Mezcal BA Imperial Stout plus plenty of our King Road Old School IPA collaboration.

Don also took us through his debut Don's Distilling releases. The diverse range of cask finishes were equally exciting and impressive with plenty of promise for the future Wh**ky.

Last week Jose & Nelio attended the 2026 Labelmakers Perth Hills W**e Show. These awards celebrate the best of an exciting w**e region that’s within 30 minutes from the Perth C*D.

As part of Copper & Oak’s commitment to developing culture, bringing the w**e community & local consumers closer together while championing WA w**es as well showing our support to local family owned w**eries, each year we sponsor these awards.

This year the Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants’ Chairman’s Trophy was won by Plume Estate Vineyard 2025 Reserve Shiraz Viognier.

And the Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants’ Best Alternative Varietal was won by Tonon Vineyard & W**ery & W**ery 2026 Vermentino which also won
W**e of Show!

Stellenrust Old Bush Vine Cinsault (13.5% abv) sources fruit from a block dating back to 1964. After fermentation in concrete, the w**e is aged in a mixture of small French oak barrels - 10% new - for 16 months.

This Cinsault delivers bright strawberry & cherry notes, not unlike Pinot Noir, with subtle earthy tones and oak presence that’s perfect for lighter meals or even chilled as a snack board sipper.
