We have a FULL box but also an extra ready to go - lets smash this Norwood and bring in a can or something to contribute to support this drive for our local charity 🥰

Coming into our last week of our annual Can Drive—thank you to everyone who has dropped in donations, and to the businesses that host collection boxes at their workplaces.

With schools returning on Monday, if you’re doing your shopping this weekend, please grab an extra item and add it to your child’s school bag to drop into the bins at school.

If you don’t know anywhere to drop off donations, you can still support us online at www.lbs.org.au. You can also shop online and have items delivered to 5 Innocent Street, Kings Meadows.

With a 34% increase in the number of people needing assistance, the Can Drive is more vital than ever. Please support if you can.

Thank you to the members from Lions Westbury who have been collecting outside Baxter’s Iga Prospect every Tuesday and Wednesday. Say hi to them if you are in the area.

Whilst we operate in the Northern district of our State, that doesn't mean that big impacts to hospitality don't hit home and create concern. The Pub Bank Group have operated successfully in Hobart for upwards of 10+ years and been the gateway to nightlife and the entire invigoration of Salamanca Place at Night for the Hobart tourism scene. To hear their news is sad and incredibly disheartening for our hospo friends - many of these venues supported us through our youth and continue to be stand-outs in Southern entertainment venues💔 That said, times are tough. Container price increases have not only impacted retail outlets, but also bars as they try to keep up with the alcohol and liquor taxes, as well as container pricing on pre-mix options. Factor that with wage increases, insurance and liability increases, and overall lack of staff willing to 'work' the shifts required at late/early and challenging times...and effectively you end up in a situation that sadly this group are facing.....please like and share these local businesses and encourage your family/kids/community to embrace them during this time...these are true Hobart institutions and we should support and value their contribution to our hospitality and nightlife scene.

Alone we are nothing....together we can move mountains! 💪🙌🫶🙏
