Burgundy meets the Rhône.

When Rotem and Mounir Saouma—of Lucien Le Moine fame—set their sights on Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the result was anything but conventional.

A Chablis Masterclass with Domaine Lavantureux

Founded in 1978 by Roland Lavantureux and now led by sons Arnaud and David, this family-run estate has become one of Chablis’ most exciting names. Sourcing from an enviable spread of vineyards across the appellation — from Bourgogne Tonnerre to Grand Cru Bougros — the Lavantureux style is defined by precision, purity and a gentle hand in the cellar.

We’re thrilled to welcome back our dear friend and former colleague Ian Barr of Euan McKay Wine Merchant to guide us through a line-up from the brilliant 2022 vintage. If you love Chablis, this is not one to miss.

Such a pleasure to have in store last night for our masterclass discussing all things Gaja, one of the most iconic wine companies in the world.

It was a fascinating insight into Gaja’s rich history, family and path to greatness via its four properties - Idda, Pieve Santa Restituta, Ca’Marcanda and of course Gaja.

The wines looked superb and truly do reward the patient as evidenced by a breathtaking 1989 Barbaresco. Just sublime.
